This course will dive deep into the science of auditioning – from the entrance to the slate\, ensuring you are prepared to deliver dynamic and memorable performances. When not performing\, students help operate the cameras to better understand how the camera sees the world. By doing so\, students learn to better shape performances for the camera\, from the master\, to the over-the-shoulder to the close-up. This class includes warm-up games and celebrates all aspects of acting for the camera.

DESCRIPTION:Subscribe\n\n\n\nPast Issues\n\n\n\nRSS\n\n\n\nTranslate\n\n\n\n\nGet a comedic and dramatic scene for your demo reel! DATES February 10th & 11th: Virtual Classes/RehearsalsFebruary 17th & 18th: In-Person Filming  Sessions are partially online via Zoom and in-person in LAREGISTER HERECamp Demo Reel is a half virtual\, half live in person two weekend intensive that teaches script and scene preparation\, on camera acting technique\, how to adjust your performance to the frame\, and culminates in filming two scenes – one comedic and one dramatic – for your demo reel. We will provide customized scenes and shoot them with a professional crew and broadcast quality HD       SCHEDULEWEEKEND ONE:The first weekend of camp will be VIRTUAL and jam-packed with acting technique lessons\, film analysis classes and demo reel scene rehearsals. WEEKEND TWO: The second weekend will be IN PERSON and dedicated to filming your personal demo reel scenes which will premiere on our Vimeo Showcase once our editors have finished post-production. We will also provide you with a copy of your completed reel and if you have other existing footage that you would like to add to make a more comprehensive demo reel\,  our editors can do that for you for an additional fee of $75/hr.LOCATION:The first weekend of classes will be virtual so you can work from home.
