Weekly lesson plans range from character prep\, script analysis\, adjusting performance to specific genres with an intense focus on both popular comedies and dramas. This course will dive deep into the science of auditioning – from the entrance to the slate\, ensuring you are prepared to deliver dynamic and memorable performances. When not performing\, students help operate the cameras to better understand how the camera sees the world. By doing so\, students learn to better shape performances for the camera\, from the master\, to the over-the-shoulder to the close-up. This class includes warm-up games and celebrates all aspects of acting for the camera.

Now’s your chance! Join filmmaker Shane Brady as he takes you through the process of making a feature film\, from script to screen!Shane’s second feature film\, Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma\, is due for release summer of 2025.  Students will begin the day by reading the shooting draft of the script. They will then watch the completed film\, being the first people to ever see it finalized before release\, and will compare what changes were made during the editing process. The day will conclude with Shane going over editing tips and tricks\, how to schedule a film shoot\, and financial decisions that made this movie possible. You will not want to miss this special workshop!Please note that Hacked is a horror-comedy.A graduate of FSU’s theatre program\, Shane Brady has performed theatre and improv in Chicago\, London\, and in television and film in Los Angeles. Most recently\, he enjoyed a recurring role on HBO’s BALLERS\, and played The Magician in Warner Bros feature film DOCTOR SLEEP.As a filmmaker\, Shane wrote\, directed\, edited and starred in Breathing Happy — which went on to win Audience Award for Best Feature Film at Chattanooga Film Festival and SOHO Horror Film Festival in London; Best Feature Film at STXIFF; Best New Filmmaker at Popcorn Frights in Miami\, Fl; and most notably\, the Best Actor Award at the heralded Filmquest Film Festival.PRICE: $250REGISTER
