Marketing Yourself on Casting Sites 9:00am-10:30am
More than ever, casting directors, agents and managers rely on online casting sites like Actors Access to match potential actors with available roles. Join YAW Career Consultant, Paige Hullett, for a workshop focusing on how and what to post on your online casting site profiles to maximize your chances of making the cut and getting the audition. This workshop will primarily focus on Actors Access, but will also touch on LA Casting and Casting Frontier. These are the top three casting sites used by agents and managers to find auditons and submit talent for project auditions. Other subjects will include headshots, resumes and demo reels.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 7TH
Self Tape Set Up | 10:30am-12:00pm
Join John D’Aquino and Paige Hullett for a class covering what makes a great virtual audition. As a result of the pandemic, casting offices are relying on self-taped auditions more than ever, and they are very specific as to how they want their submissions taped and formatted for delivery. They are also conducting live auditions and callbacks over Zoom and other virtual formats. If you fail to deliver what they’re asking for, your brilliant audition might not get seen.
John and his team have been working with casting directors, producers, agents and managers to better understand what they are looking for in a great taped or virtual audition. Setup, including backgrounds, lighting and wardrobe are more important than ever and how you deliver your performance must change according to the new technology. This class is essential training to get a complete understanding of what is expected of uploaded and virtual (ZOOM) video auditions.
